DIBELS is one of the most effective means I've used to assist with determining the best instructional practices to meet students' needs. It provides information regarding students' strengths and weaknesses as they relate to the five essential components of reading and through progress monitoring assists with determining whether my instruction, groupings, etc. need adjustment. I'm continually learning more of the features available through Wireless Generation for using DIBELS information and how to use the feature/information to make additional adjustments, as needed. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. it is helpful as a parent tool to show progress or lack of.....great to send with weekly folders if assistance is needed. I dont overuse or overprint these reports but they DO help convey the learning.....Parents need to be briefed on what the reports show but look forward to progress report time more. Do you find this valuable?

We are finishing our training on Dibels this week. I can see how it will help pin point more closely a child's problem. What we reteach and grouping of students can be done more
accurately.
